Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive cardiac evaluations, including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (ECG), blood pressure measurements, and thoracic radiography.
Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired cardiovascular conditions in small animals.
Recommend and implement treatment plans, including medical therapy, interventional procedures, and surgery when necessary.
Collaborate with referring veterinarians, internal medicine specialists, and the Vet Link central lab for case management and continuity of care.
Educate clients with compassion and clarity about their pet’s condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in the clinic’s digital health system.
Participate in teleconsultation services and provide expertise remotely when needed.
Contribute to ongoing staff education and training within the clinic group.
Requirements:
DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Veterinary Cardiology (e.g., ACVIM or ECVIM).
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience post-residency preferred.
Proficiency in performing and interpreting echocardiograms and ECGs.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and client education skills.
Comfortable working with digital tools and telemedicine platforms.
