**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough physical examinations to diagnose health issues in animals.
- Perform surgical procedures to treat injuries, deformities, and illnesses in animals.
- Prescribe medications and provide recommendations on the proper use of drugs.
- Provide emergency care during business hours and, if required, on-call support after hours.
- Offer preventive care by administering vaccines and advising pet owners on nutrition and overall care.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date medical records for all treated animals.
- Educate pet owners on disease prevention, animal behavior, and home care needs.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Stay updated with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in educational opportunities.

**Qualifications:**
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited program.
- Valid state veterinary board certification.
- Proven experience as a veterinarian, veterinary intern, or veterinarian assistant (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate nature.
- Ability to make decisions and work independently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
